Use Cases

  • Fast pre-push regression verification (~5 minutes)
  • Confirm bug fixes don't break existing tests
  • Run as part of local CI gate (lint + test)
  • Test specific packages during active development
  • Dispatch remote unit tests via GitHub Actions without opening a PR

Quality Notes

  • Clear, concise instructions with exact commands
  • Scope is narrow and well-defined (unit tests only, from repo root)
  • Helpful CI equivalency table showing relationship to automated workflows
  • Good contextual guidance on when to use (pre-push gate, bug verification, local CI)
  • Supports both full suite and package-specific test runs
  • No error handling guidance for common failure scenarios (build failures, missing dependencies)
  • Does not document expected output or how to interpret test results
